Conflicts!?

In the story, Oliver Twist, an example of man vs. society is were Oliver gets accused of stealing and the crowd chases him. This is important in the story because it shows how people judge children, such as Oliver, during this time.
Also, in Oliver Twist, an example of man vs. self would be that Oliver has to over come his feelings of being an orphan and not having a mother or father. This is crucial to the story because if Oliver's parents were still alive he would have a completely different life. He would not have become an orphan either.
Finally, an example of man vs. man would be Oliver being blamed for things that he didn't do because of his appearance. When you dress and look poor you are automatically accused as a thief or a beggar and Oliver tends to get in trouble for things he doesn't do.

Oliver Twist: Book vs. Spark Notes

While reading the classic novel of Oliver Twist, people find out the story of a young orphans life and how he is treated. There is a lot of information that goes with this story but there is a website that people can use to help the understand the story or help summarize it up. This website is known as spark notes. This website summarizes stories for people who need to refresh their memory or would just like to look at a good summary before reading. Of course spark notes does not have all of the information that the book has but that's because a summary is not supposed to give you all of the detail; It is supposed to show you the main points of the story, but if you want to know the full story you would be better off reading the book. Spark notes is a great tool to use when trying to understand or help comprehend a book, even if you just want to refresh your memory over what you just read.

Victorian Era..

During the Victorian age there were lots of things that were happening that did not have a good impact on the society. Disease was everywhere. Lots of children were dieing at the young age of 5 years old because of all the disease that was creeping around the city. The fact that they had hardly any plumbing did not make matters any better. With the lack of plumbing and the lack of sanitation hit the town harder than anything and the population was increasing by the day.

New Rules!?

These days it seems that the poor have less of an advantage than the rich people. Therefore new rich laws are being created to make society and the people more equal. They are:
1) If you make over 500,000 they must donate a percentage of that money to the poor- this ensures that the poor will have some money to live on and it will make things more equal.
2) We have that they have to donate all their old things before buying new ones- this will help make sure that the poor have furniture to live with too.
3) They have to do a charity type thing and take time out of their day to teach the poor-this will ensure that the poor have at least a decent education so they have chances of being successful too.
